I have always wanted a great dane so I started looking on the internet. I typed in “great danes” and pressed search. The number one search was Daneline so I had a good look. The first thing I did was look at the galleries because I like to look at dogs, as I am a dog lover. I have had a few dogs so I no what to look for. Daneline was so well laid out they should be proud, it gives you all new news and all dogs to be rehomed. The top and most important dog that need to be rehomed was a dog called Mr.Doobus. I started to read about Mr.Doobus he had a very bad start in life. I phoned Lissi because I wanted to no more about him and his history. Lissi told me his first owner was very cruel to him and his brother who died due to the cruelty. It was a RSPCA case Mr.Doobus brother could not be saved. Mr.Doobus injuries were very bad. His spine and legs were very severely damaged and it will be with him for the rest of his life. People from RSPCA and the vets have said that he may not live to be an old dog due to injury's and the loss of his brother how Mr.Doobus still misses desperately. The RSPCA phoned Daneline and asked if they can take him in as they cant afford to pay for his food and keeping. Daneline said yes with open arms. Mr.Doobus has been rehomed through Daneline but the new owner’s circumstances have changed so Mr.Doobus want back at Daneline. I was on the phone to Lissi for about 30mins. When I got off the phone I spoke to Mark my husband and said that I want Mr..Doobus, I told Mark, about him and Mark said he would like to no more about him so I phoned Lissi every day for about a week. Lissi said she would like a home checked to see if I could qualify for rehomming him. I phoned Lissi about 2 days later and she said to me that the lady how is going to home check is on holiday for a week. It was the longest week of my life. At last a phone call from a lovely lady called Jill how is going to home check to see if we could take him on as long as Lissi is happy.

April 12th a lovely sunny day, the big day of home check. 12am the phone rang it was Jill she said she was at the end of the road, so we all went out to greet her. She was very well spoken very polite and very ease to talk to it felt like we have none her for years. Jill had a good look around and I am very happy to say we passed the home check. The same day I phoned Lissi to let her no that we passed the home check and Lissi was very happy. I said to Lissi that we would like to come and visit Mr.Doobus as we have already got two dogs. Lissi said she would like us to bring our two dogs to see if they get on ok.

April 17th on our way to Bristol. When we got there we were greeted by Lissi and her friend and lots of dogs "BIG DOGS". We all went in side and had a good chat and got to no Mr.Doobus, he is a lovely dog, a big softy at heart. Myself and mark said to our self's he is a very big dog. Myself and Mark were very concerned about our two dogs because of Mr.Doobus size. Our dogs are Yorkshire terriers. After a while the yorkies were used to it. Mark and I were not too sure about taking Mr.Doobus because of his size.  Lissi said to us to take him for a walk so I did. He didn't pull on the lead and he stayed be my side he was so well behaved.  When I went back I said to Mark I wanted him. Mark was still not to sure. Lissi said to Mark to take him for a walk so Mark did 5minutes later Mark said Mr.Doobus is a very good dog. Mark said to me he is happy for us to take him as long as Lissi is happy. Lissi said yes so we did some paper work.

When it was time to leave it was very moving. We put Mr.Doobus in the car and said our goodbyes. We all said we will keep in touch. Back at home we put all our dogs in the garden to get use to each other. I went to get our children and when my kids saw Mr.Doobus it was love at first sight. Mr.Doobus is now part of our family and is never left out. He loves his toys and his food .Mr.Doobus hobby is sleeping as he sleeps a lot and he loves his bed. Mark and I take him for walks that he loves. Mr.Doobus is a very proud dog and every body loves him because he is a big softy. Mr.Doobus will remain in our family till his last days.
